Dodgers and unlikely teammates help local kids hit a home run

It’s not uncommon to receive life’s most important lessons from everyday heroes. For many young children, rites of passage such as learning to read, mastering a sport or saving for their first major purchase are often achieved under the tutelage of teachers and parents. Some children, however, get the rare opportunity to learn from larger-than-life heroes like the Los Angeles Dodgers.
