And that’s not always a good thing. Parents aren’t necessarily teaching their children money mistakes on purpose — it’s a busy world, and they themselves may never have gotten proper financial literacy lessons. Studies show, however, that kids follow in their parents’ footsteps. When parents had bad money habits, their children adopted bad money habits too, according to a recent study from asset management firm T. Rowe Price.
